A New Start

Well today I started my new job; of course I didn't get my sleep the night before because of nerves. New morning routine went well and I ended up getting to work 15 minutes early.  The next few months we are building pressure washers and the job that I have on the line is quite easy; riveting two arms onto a base so the motor can sit on top.  (hard to explain but its quite easy) Its slow going at first but the last few hours we ended up making our 300 goal; I can't even imagine having to do 1,200 of them in a 8 hour period but I guess its very possible if the whole line works as a team.  Breaks are kinda tough; the 10 minute one is basically enough to pee and eat a granola bar.  The 30 minute one seems to go by fast and I have learned a lesson on not going to the cafeteria.   The time it takes to walk to the side of the plant you only end up having 10 minutes to scarf down your food before you have to walk back to the other side of the plant to start again.  Besides I think the food is more expensive then at CMH =[.  Salad bar is 42 cents/oz compared to 35 cents/oz so I think I could say you have no reason to complain at my old job cause food is more expensive at my work. haha.  Overall it was a good first day; felt starved by the end since I am not used to not "snacking" like I would at my old job but I guess this will be one way to lose my baby weight from miss Aubree.

Once I get this new routine down I am going to try to make quick, sustainable and healthy dinners and sharing them on here.  =] I am sure Pinterest is going to be a big help in this process; and hopefully I will have enough leftovers to bring for lunch.  This is a whole new adventure; sadly I have never worked five days in a row so I am sure I will be pooped by the end of the week.  I am thankful for all the help Chris has been giving me the past few days it finally feels like we are tackling everything as a team.
